The Power of Gratitude

Doesn’t thankfulness make all the difference?

Practicing gratitude makes you happier and so much more delightful to be with. Who wouldn’t want to live with grateful people?

Perhaps this month, whenever you are dosing, you can start a new habit: can your child name a blessing they are thankful for for each bite or sip? Perhaps you can take on the challenge as you sip your morning coffee. You may want to start a notebook to record these blessings, or write your thankful things on a pumpkin in Sharpie, or onto fall colored leaves and tape them on the wall.

Maybe instead you can pretend that your car doesn’t start in November without gratitude and every passenger must name x number of things as they buckle up.

Watch the smiles spread as you lead the way.  I know how grateful you are.
