Mother May I?

Did you ever play ‘Mother May I?’ (I always lost that game.) Or have some teacher think he was terribly clever and not let you use the restroom until you said “May I?”

Obviously the word MAY doesn’t immediately give me warm and fuzzy feelings.

It is just such a polite and asking kind of word. Not an OIT Warrior Mom kind of word.  We left “May I?” behind long ago and went hunting for solutions when too many told us to just to accept things as they were.  We pushed on, even when some of our family and friends thought we were foolish. We would not stop no matter the cost in time and effort.

We would not give up.

We would not give in.

We searched for answers and hunted down solutions. We pursued food allergy remission relentlessly. “May” may be proper English and it may sound perfect in Jane Austin novels, but we Joan of Arc types may not always use it.

May-be that’s why we got here.
