When the Unexpected Happens

It has been said that God never gives us more than we can handle. He obviously has a higher opinion of me than I do!

  This food allergy parenting life wasn’t exactly what we signed up for.  When I was a newly pregnant mom I was given the classic book, What to Expect When You Are Expecting. But life doesn’t always follow the textbook. Parenting has been much more than I expected. Much more worry and work - and much, much more joy. 

If you are feeling overwhelmed just now, now that you aren’t alone.  You are stronger than you give yourself credit for. It is true that in crisis and hard times, we step up to the challenge. We grow into our roles.   Already you have come so far. Even if we didn’t know it, we were born for this.

These kiddos….we wouldn’t trade them for the world and no one else can love them like we do!  Mom…you are strong.
